StorageLocal role
StorageLocal provides a marketplace and software platform that helps people find, list, book, and manage local storage arrangements. Hosts, not StorageLocal, provide the storage spaces shown in listings.
StorageLocal does not own or control host spaces, stored items, or the day-to-day access arrangements between hosts and renters. Users are responsible for deciding whether a listing, host, renter, item, and booking arrangement is suitable for them.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account, listing, booking, and contact information, keep your login credentials secure, and use the service only for lawful purposes.
You are responsible for complying with laws, building rules, lease terms, insurance conditions, tax obligations, and other requirements that apply to your use of StorageLocal.
Host responsibilities
Hosts must have the right to offer the listed space, describe it accurately, keep listing details current, provide safe and reasonable access as agreed, and honor confirmed booking terms.
Hosts should identify space limits, access hours, security features, environmental conditions, and any additional rules before accepting a booking. Hosts must not knowingly accept prohibited or unsafe items.
Renter responsibilities
Renters must accurately describe their storage needs, follow listing rules, use the space only for agreed storage purposes, and remove items on time according to the booking terms.
Renters are responsible for ensuring their items are lawful to store, properly packed, suitable for the space, and not hazardous, perishable, or otherwise prohibited.
Prohibited and restricted items
StorageLocal is not for hazardous materials, flammable or explosive items, fireworks, toxic chemicals, illegal drugs, contraband, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, weapons or ammunition where restricted, perishable goods, plants, animals, or anything that may create a safety, health, legal, or property risk.
A host may set additional restrictions for a listing. If there is any uncertainty about an item, the renter should not store it until the host and StorageLocal support can confirm it is acceptable.
Bookings, messaging, and records
StorageLocal may keep booking, listing, messaging, support, payment-status, and activity records to operate the platform, support users, investigate safety issues, and resolve disputes.
Users should keep important booking communications on the platform where available so there is a clear record of agreed dates, access details, stored item descriptions, restrictions, and changes.
Payments, fees, cancellations, and refunds
Where StorageLocal payment, payout, deposit, cancellation, refund, or tax features are available, the terms shown in the product, booking flow, contract, invoice, or support process apply.
StorageLocal does not promise that every booking will include the same payment method, refund option, insurance arrangement, or dispute outcome. Any payment or refund issue should be handled through the available platform or support process.
Photos, evidence, and uploaded content
Users may upload listing photos, item photos, identity or verification documents, evidence images, messages, and other content. Users should upload only content they have the right to share and avoid including unnecessary personal information about other people.
StorageLocal may use uploaded content to display listings, operate bookings, verify information, provide support, investigate safety concerns, and handle disputes as described in the Privacy Policy.
Service changes and support
StorageLocal may update features, flows, policies, and supported services as the platform changes. We aim to keep public pages and in-product terms aligned with current product behavior.
For account-specific questions, safety concerns, booking problems, or policy questions, use the StorageLocal help and support channels.
